The New York Times publishes the details of Iran’s plan to confront a possible war with the United States news

A newspaper said New York Times Iran has prepared missiles and other military equipment to launch strikes on American bases in the Middle East If the United States joins Israel in its war on Tehran.

The newspaper quoted officials – saying that they had seen intelligence reports – that in the event of an attack, Iran could start planting mines in the Strait of Hormuz, a strategy aimed at besieging American warships in the Persian Gulf.

She said that the United States joining the war on Iran, almost certainly means that Houthi group Iranian -backed will resume hitting ships in the Red Sea, and pro -Iranian groups in Iraq and Syria may join targeting American bases.

The newspaper pointed out that the American forces were placed at a state of high alert with military bases throughout the region, in which more than 40,000 soldiers spread.

It stated that the United States sent about 30 fuel -refueling aircraft to Europe, which can be used to support combat aircraft that protect American bases or to extend the extent of the participating launchers in any possible blow to Iranian nuclear facilities.

Several US officials said that Israel would need American assistance to direct the Iranian nuclear program.

American assistance may include air coverage of the Israeli commando forces entering Iran on the ground. The officials said the most likely result is a blow to the American B2 bombers equipped with bombs that theoretically capable of penetrating the mountain that protects Fordo facility underground.

On the other hand, two Iranian officials acknowledged that the country would attack the American bases in the Middle East, starting with those in Iraq, if the United States joins the war.

The two officials stressed that Iran will target any American bases present in the Arab countries participating in the attack.

The officials indicated that Iran will not need much preparations to attack the American bases in the region, because the Iranian army has missile bases located at a very close distance of these bases.
