Real Madrid announced today, Thursday, that its striker, Killian Mbappe, left the hospital to which he was transferred earlier after suffering from stomach and intestinal inflammation, during the FIFA World Cup currently held in the United States.

“Our player, Killian Mbappe, left the hospital this afternoon, and returned to the Real Madrid training camp,” the club said in a statement.

“Mbappe will continue to receive private medical treatment, and he will gradually return to the activities of the team,” he added.

Real said earlier today, “Our player Killian Mbappe suffers from acute stomach and intestinal inflammation and was transferred to the hospital to undergo a set of tests and follow the course of the appropriate treatment.”

French Mbappe missed the first match of Real in the Club World Cup, which ended in a 1-1 draw with Al-Hilal Saudi yesterday, Wednesday.

A source in the club told Reuters that Mbappe, who was taken to the hospital on Wednesday, was isolated from his teammates since Tuesday, and he was discharged from the team’s accounts for his matches in the group stage.

Real coach Xabi Alonso hinted yesterday that doubts are hovering over Mbappe’s participation in the next match scheduled against Mexican Pachuca on Sunday in Charlotte, North Carolina.
