An article in the newspaper “Yeni Shafak” mentioned Türkiye Creating in any possible military confrontation with Israel Even with the United States’ support for it, it linked this victory to several factors that must be combined.
In his article, Turkish writer Ismail Kilic Arslan asked whether “Türkiye is ready for a possible, and even inevitable war with Israel”, and he presented his answer based on 3 factors.
In terms of military ability, Arslan believes that Türkiye is largely prepared, and it is increasingly prepared day by day, but what is the real challenge – according to his opinion – is the extent of clarity of the positions of the Islamic world and the extent of immunization of the internal front.
Islamic world
According to the writer, one of the most important questions that will determine the course of a possible war with Israel is whether there is “any group, entity, or state that will stand in the ranks of Türkiye and support it.”
In this regard, the writer pointed out to the Iran -Israeli war, wondering about the reason for the absence of the support of the Islamic world for Tehran, although it “fired missiles at Israel, and the Zionist dogs tasted moments of terror,” as he put it.
Arslan admits that the reason may be that “Iran is paying the price of its sins during the past fifteen years,” especially its intervention in Syria, which, according to the article, has sparked widespread discontent among Sunni Muslims.
But the writer added that this analysis, despite its validity, does not justify the position of “Islamic countries that chose the approach of nationalism and not to deviate from obedience to the imperialist states in order to preserve their stability and comfort.”
He added that these countries suppress their peoples and prevent them from expressing their solidarity freely, which enhances the isolation of Iran and Turkey alike, especially in the event of a war with Israel.
Arslan concluded that there is no actual entity that can be called the “Islamic World”, and therefore any support that comes from this source will be a welcome surprise.
The home front
The greatest challenge – according to the writer – lies in the “fragile” internal front, as ideas and currents are spread in the Turkish interior loyal to external powers such as Israel, the United States, Iran, and even thought BaathistIt weakens national unity.
The writer gave examples of his words, such as the sympathy of some “Nusayri Turkish citizens” with the Syrian regime during the war, and some refused to buy Türkiye as a system S-400 Russian for fear of provoking the West’s discontent, in addition to Iran’s success in penetrating a Turkish political party through its local agents.
According to the writer, Turkey does not want the war with Israel, but it may find itself forced to it, and Arslan believes that the development of the conflict between Iran and Israel is what will determine the pace of regional escalation, as well as the timing of the outbreak of the Turkish -Israeli war, which appears inevitable in his opinion.
