The Israeli Foreign Minister welcomed Gideon Saar By normalizing relations with Syria, but he set a condition for that, and this came after an Israeli report that did not rule out the signing of a peace agreement with Damascus before the end of this year.

“If there is an opportunity to sign a peace or normalization agreement with Syria, Saar told Syria, provided that the Golan remains with us, this will be positive for the future of Israel.”

The Israeli minister’s speech came after a Syrian source revealed to the same channel that Israel and Syria will sign a peace agreement before the end of 2025.

According to the channel, the Syrian source said that this agreement would fully normalize relations, and that heights Golan Israel will be a “peace garden” as he put it.

The Syrian source pointed out that, according to the agreement, “Israel will gradually withdraw from all the Syrian lands that it occupied after the invasion of the buffer zone on December 8, 2024, including a summit Mount Sheikh“.

The Syrian presidency announced, last Wednesday, that the president Ahmed Al -SharaHe met with the elders and notables of the Quneitra and the Golan Governorate, where he discussed with them the service, living and security conditions in the province.

The official news agency “SANA” at the time quoted the Syrian presidency as saying that Sharia also listened to the interventions of the attendees, which dealt with their needs and their suffering from the inconsistencies and repeated Israeli attacks.

The Sharia confirmed at the time that work is underway to stop the Israeli attacks through indirect negotiations through international brokers.

At the end of last month, 5 well -informed sources told Reuters that Israel and Syria are in direct contact and conducted meetings to face with the aim of calming tension and preventing a conflict in the border area between the two sides.

Sources said that several rounds of direct meetings took place in the border area, including the lands controlled by Israel. But the Syrian Minister of Information, Hamza Al -Mustafa, said at the time that “there are indirect negotiations with Israel, centered on the agreement to separate the forces” or what is known asConnecting Convention For 1974.

Israel has occupied the Golan Heights since the 1967 war and seized more lands in the wake of the overthrow of Assad last December, noting its concerns about what it called the extreme past of the new rulers in Syria.
