Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic grabbed the attention of the French Open Championship (Roland Garros) not because of his remarkable performance, but as a result of Tarif’s position, Lionel Messi.
After winning in the fourth round over Cameron Nuri, one of the fans called him waving a shirt carrying his image and the image of the Argentine football legend.

Djokovic met Messi, an Inter Miami player and captain, at a restaurant in the United States in the summer of 2023.
The Spanish newspaper “Marca” published a “flea” image with Djokovic, and happiness seemed greatly clear to them, at a moment she described as “historical”.
Djokovic had previously expressed more than one occasion his great appreciation to Messi, describing it as “the real legend inside and outside the field.”
In turn, Messi attended one of Djokovic’s matches in the Miami Open tennis championship last March, which confirms the existence of mutual respect between the two stars.
