Political analysts agreed that the current escalation in the Russian -Ukrainian war aims to improve the conditions of negotiation, but they differed about the nature of this war and whether it represents a new model for the wars of artificial intelligence or is it a traditional war with modern tools.
According to the strategic expert, Ahmed Al -Sharifi, the ongoing conflict cannot fall on the traditional theories of wars.
Al -Sharifi explained – in his talk to the “Beyond the News” program – that the conflict falls within the scope of the wars of artificial intelligence that is based on combat capabilities, and a war economy based on the strength of the state in the acquisition of gold as an alternative to the dollar or paper currency.
He pointed out that the last Ukrainian operation in the Russian depth was carried out with armament capabilities not exceeding 170 to 200 thousand dollars, and caused losses estimated at 7 billion dollars.
He stressed that this penetration, which occurred at a distance of 4,700 kilometers, is a depth inside Russia, indicates that the issues of traditional deterrence from intelligence deterrence to tactical deterrence are no longer feasible.
The nature of the war
On the other hand, the expert in Russian affairs, Mahmoud Hamza, disagreed with this perception, stressing that this war is not an artificial intelligence war, but rather a traditional front war.
Hamza explained that the current escalation is not new, but it is great, noting that it represents a continuous war of 3 years between the two parties.
This escalation was linked to the arrival of the American President Donald Trump For power, explaining that the Russians were very optimistic about Trump and promised to end the war, but he surprised them that he had conditions and that he would not give a gift toMoscow Without a price.
In his assessment of Russian goals, Hamza expressed his personal conviction that the Russians want to end the war in UkraineBecause they have been affected many economic sanctions, as the internal conditions were reflected in people’s lives, in addition to great losses in equipment, money and lives.
For his part, a professor of international relations Hosni Abidi stressed that Ukraine was able, through increasing confidence in its intelligence services, to launch bold operations from inside Russia.
Abidi indicated that these operations were able to persuade the security services and military leaders of Ukraine’s ability to resist.
He stressed that Ukraine realizes that this military operation and the conviction of the Europeans that it should continue to “also help soften the American position, and obtain at least the so -called security guarantees demanded by European countries.”
war of attrition
With regard to assessing the nature of the conflict as a war of depletion, analysts agreed that both parties seek to drain the other.
Hamza explained that this war is a war of attrition, stressing that Ukraine has those who provide financial support to the manufacture of these aircraft and marches, and Russia also takes its economy and behaves and tries to defend.
In the same context, Abidi stressed that the “dual fatigue theory” can be applied to both sides, as Washington ultimately benefits when it can weaken Russia inside Ukraine.
He pointed out that the European ally has become more needed by American support than previously, pointing out that Russia will not eventually return the important force if America is planning its next war with China.
On the nature of dealing between the United States and Europe with the Ukrainian file, Hamza explained that there are differences between America and the Europeans in the opinion about dealing with the file.
As for Abidi, he confirmed that Trump goes further than this and says that Europe, which has made gold promises to Ukraine to enter NATO (NATOThe European Union must bear the consequences of all these promises.
He expressed his conviction that Istanbul’s understandings are supposed to continue, although it only achieved the human dimension, and Hamza agreed to it, stressing that it is limited to the human side because the political issue is complicated and the positions are far apart.
But Hamza indicated that there is an insistence even from the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov That the continuation of negotiation is a positive thing, but at the same time he warned that the Russians want this despite the military escalation.
