Today, Monday, a cruel heat wave continues in southern Europe, with a large rise in temperatures caused fires in several countries, including France and Italy, as well as in Türkiye.
The early heat wave prompted the authorities in several countries to issue health warnings and warnings of the outbreak of forest fires, amid expectations of a new rise in temperatures during the next few days.
For several days, France, Italy, Spain and Portugal have been suffering from a free wave in which the temperature levels reached 46 degrees Celsius in some areas.
In France, in which temperatures are expected to reach its peak tomorrow, Tuesday, and tomorrow, Wednesday, the Meteorological Authority has placed 84 out of 101 regions in the country in a state of orange alert for the heat wave from today to the middle of the week.

With the first heat wave this summer, France called on residents to search for shelters, and the Ministry of Education said that about 200 schools would be closed at least at least during the next three days due to the heat.
In Spain, the National Meteorological Agency reported today that the heat reached 46 degrees Celsius on Saturday in the (southern country) bond near the border with Portugal, a record in June, and the wave is expected to reach its climax today.
The authority said that the levels of heat in Extreimadora and Andalusia, in the south and southwest of the country, reached 44 degrees yesterday, and in the capital Madrid, the temperature approached 40 degrees.
The Spanish Meteorological Agency said this month is on its way to become the most heat months of June since the start of blogging in the records.
In the neighboring neighbor, Portugal, a maximum warning was announced in two -thirds of Portugal in anticipation of a very high temperature and the outbreak of forest fires, as well as on the Italian island of Sicily, where firefighters struggled 15 fires on Saturday.
In Italy, a state of extreme heat warning was announced in 21 cities from the north to the south, including Milan, Naples, Venice, Florence, Rome and Catania, and the temperature today is expected to reach 41 degrees Celsius in Florence, 38 degrees in Bologna and 37 degrees in Perugia.
The emergency departments in Italy hospitals reported a 10% increase in sunstroke, according to the Vice President of the Italian Emergency Medicine Society Mario Gawreno.

Fires due to heat
The intense heat wave led to fires that devoured forests and evacuated thousands of population.
In France, forest fires erupted yesterday, Sunday, in the Opp area, southwest of the country, where the temperatures exceeded 40 degrees Celsius, which led, according to the authorities and the media, to burn 400 hectares and evacuate the area of residence of camps and monastery.
The French authorities said today that the fires were under control, but they have not been extinguished yet.
On the Italian island of Sicily, firefighting teams worked for several hours to put out 15 fires.

For its part, the Turkish Disaster Management Agency (reported) said that more than 50,000 people were evacuated following the forest fires that affected the governorates of Izmir and Manisa (west) and Hatay (southeast).

Standard
Meanwhile, the French Meteorological Authority announced today that a record temperature was recorded for the month of June in the Mediterranean Basin on Sunday.
“We have not been recorded by a daily temperature of this rise in June, calculated on the entire Mediterranean basin,” said Tipo Guento, a researcher at the Meteorological Satellite Studies Center in Lanion (Cote Darmour).
Guinaldo added that the average Mediterranean temperature is currently higher in three degrees of seasonal numbers registered between 1991 and 2020, while this exceeds four degrees on the French and Spanish coasts.
For its part, the researcher at the Italian Institute for Environmental Protection and Research, Emmanuella Pervityi, said that the heat waves in the Mediterranean region have become more frequent and intense in recent years.
Experts warn that the heat waves are intense due to climate change and will increase frequency. Scientists also confirm that climate change exacerbates severe heat waves, especially in cities, where temperatures increase due to the large number of buildings.
The records indicate that last year is the heat on the planet at all.
