The American envoy announced to Syria Thomas Barak About a ceasefire agreement between Syria and Israel, at a time when clashes continue in As -Suwayda Among the Druze groups opposing Damascus and armed men from the clans.
Barak, in a tweet on the X platform early Saturday, said that the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu And the Syrian president Ahmed Al -Shara They agreed – with American support – to a ceasefire.
He added that the agreement between Israel and Syria was adopted by Türkiye, Jordan and their neighbors.
He called the American envoy Druze The Bedouins and the Sunnah are to throw their weapons and work with other minorities to build a new and unified Syrian identity and build peace and prosperity with their neighbors.
The announcement of the agreement comes 3 days after the Israeli bombing, which targeted sovereign sites in Damascus and the Syrian forces in As -Suwayda (southern Syria).
Israel carried out extensive air strikes in As -Suwayda in support of the Druze factions, which the Syrian forces tried to expel them from As -Suwayda, before they had to withdraw from the entire province due to the Israeli bombing.
On Thursday, the Syrian army and security forces ended their withdrawal from As -Suwayda after a diplomatic movement that led to the announcement of a ceasefire agreement.
However, the withdrawal of the Syrian forces allowed the Druze factions anti -Damascus to attack the areas inhabited by the Arab Bedouin tribes in neighborhoods in the city of As -Suwayda and its countryside, which resulted in “massacres” and the displacement of thousands of people, according to the Syrian authorities, to start the clans after that an attack on the Druze factions.
New agreement
Meanwhile, the German news agency reported, quoting Syrian media reports, that a new agreement stipulating the deployment of the Syrian security forces throughout the endosperm governorate.
According to these reports, the agreement was reached at dawn today between the Syrian government on the one hand and the sheikhs of the Druze mind and the armed Druze factions in As -Suwayda on the other hand.
The agreement requires – according to the same sources – to hand over heavy weapons and integrate factions in the forces of the Syrian Ministry of Interior and Defense.
The Syrian presidency announced last night that the competent authorities are working to send a force to break the clash and resolve the conflict in As -Suwayda in parallel with political and security measures.
The presidency said – in a statement – that the events that it described as unfortunate in southern Syria were caused by taking groups outside the law as a means of imposing a fait accompli.
The Syrian presidency called on all parties to control, and confirmed efforts to stop the fighting and control violations, and denounced the targeting of safe families and the infringement of the dignity of people.
Reuters said that its correspondents had seen a vehicle from the Syrian Ministry of Interior forces on a road in Daraa Governorate to the east of As -Suwayda, and quoted a security source that the forces are waiting for the green light to enter the endosperm.

As -Suwayda clashes
In conjunction with this, a source in the Ministry of Interior confirmed to the Syrian news that internal security prevented any armed frames from entering the city of As -Suwayda through the Damascus and Daraa roads.
This comes after the Al -Jazeera correspondent in As -Suwayda said that the tribal forces are on the outskirts of the city of As -Suwayda after they took control of a number of cities and towns adjacent to them.
Reuters also reported that thousands of tribal fighters are still flowing on As -Suwayda until Friday, amid the continued clashes on the outskirts of the city.
Reuters quoted Ryan Marouf, editor -in -chief of (Al Suwayda 24) news site and residents, that the clashes are continuing in the north and west of the province.
For its part, the French Press Agency stated that about 200 tribal militants clashed on Friday evening at the western entrance to As -Suwayda with the Druze militants inside the city.
Residents in As -Suwayda said they had small amounts of food and water, and that electricity has been cut off from the city for several days.
The Syrian Ministry of Health said, on Friday, that 260 people were killed and 1698 were injured in the clashes of As -Suwayda, while the Syrian Network for Human Rights documented the killing of 321 people during the fighting since last Sunday, including workers in medical services, women and children.
The network said that these numbers include field executions from all sides.
