24 people, half of them were children, spent floods that swept northwest of Pakistan mountain due to heavy rains since last Wednesday at the beginning of the seasonal rainy period, according to emergency management officials.
The Pakistani Crisis Management Authority reported that the number of those who died after several incidents due to the severe rain in the Khyber region reached 12 people.
A statement by the authority indicated that most of the incidents occurred on the “Swat” river, and the victims of tourists came from different areas in Pakistan, and that among them was besieged and washed away by the waters of the river flowing strongly.
The Disaster Relief Agency report stated that the floods in the region were damaged 56 homes, 6 of which were destroyed.
