“Gabrot” pirates seize 4 terabyas from the real estate registry database in Morocco | technology

The past days have witnessed the activity of a group of Algerian pirates known as “Gabrot” against the Moroccan government and its sites, including the real estate registry database in Morocco, from which it stole data of 4 terabytes, according to what was stated in the “Morocco World News” website.

According to the report of the Moroccan website, the “Gabrot” pirates were responsible for a previous attack against the Moroccan government, specifically against the National Social Security Fund, and a similar huge database was leaked from it.

The group announced the attack last Monday through its official channel in “Telegram”, confirming that it was able to steal the entire database and leak many sensitive data related to real estate and its owners in Morocco.

The leaked data included details of more than 10 thousand real estate units out of 10 million leaked units, and this data includes the identity of real estate owners and the identification numbers of their units as well as sales contracts and their engineering documents, copies of personal cards, passports and even bank documents related to the owners of these units.

The real estate registry stopped reaching its platform as soon as the attack was announced with the possibility of canceling the entire platform and returning to the safest paper system, especially since some documents that were leaked in the “Telegram” channel belong to a group of prominent Moroccan personalities, including Mohamed Yassin Al -Mansoori, Director General of External Intelligence.

As for the reason for the penetration, the group attributed the reason to the “false propaganda” of the Moroccan media about the rumors of France’s freezing of the origins of high -ranking Algerian officials, noting that these matters mean the Algerian and French government only, and the Moroccan government is not entitled to interfere with it.
