The Qatar Football Association announced in a statement – today, Saturday – the return of the player and captain Hassan Al -Haydous to the national team after his retirement from international play.
The statement said that Al -Hidus will be on the list of the team that will take place in the fourth stage of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, scheduled for next October.
The Qatari team is preparing for the fourth stage of the Asian qualifiers, as Qatar will host one of the two groups, while the draw will be held on July 17.

Al-Haydous retired from the international game after the Asian Football Cup Qatar 2023, which was crowned “Al-Annabi” with its title for the second time by winning in the final over his Jordanian counterpart 3-1.
Al -Sadd club player is considered one of the most prominent stars in the history of the Qatari team, after he played 184 international matches, during which he scored 42 goals in various championships.
Al -Haydous contributed to the crowning of the team with the AFC Cup twice in a row in 2019 and 2023, as well as the Gulf Cup “Gulf 22” in 2014, while he achieved many achievements with the dam, including the local league championship 4 times, the Prince Cup 6 times, in addition to the AFC Champions League in 2011.
