Oman- In a scene loaded with symbolism and innocent feelings, dozens of children stood, yesterday evening, in the Al -Tafila neighborhood, in the center of the Jordanian capital OmanBehind an iron fence, they knocked on empty metal pots, in a solidarity effectiveness with children Gaza Those who are subjected to starvation by doing Siege Continuous Israeli.
The event was held at night, amid a wide presence of families and children, who lined up in the streets of the neighborhood to participate, while the sounds of roads on the pots were raised as if they were suddens behind the walls, in a symbolic simulation of the voices of hunger coming from the besieged Gaza.
The roads on the utensils were not absurd. The children between the ages of 4 and 12 were on foot after they started to read Surat Al -Fatihah, chanting “Rahman Al -Rahim” before they arrived behind a metal fence that mimics the isolation of Gaza, while their voices were raised with kitchen tools in a blatant representation of the suffering experienced by their peers inside the besieged sector.
To deliver the message
The fence represented the imposed siege, while empty pots expressed empty stomachs that did not find what fill their hunger, while the silence that wrapped the attendees was more expression than any chanting before it was cut off by the chanting that demands the opening of the crossings to pass the aid and scream at the world to stop the tragedy immediately.
The event came with a popular initiative from the people of the neighborhood and local activists, in an attempt to involve children to solidify Gaza, and to consolidate the collective sense of the Palestinian issue in their conscience.
“What we did was nothing but a simple attempt to say: We feel the hunger of Gaza children as if they were our children, these empty pots that children knock on the tables of Gazans today, empty, silent, and awaiting a glimmer of hope,” said Musab Al -Hasras, one of the participating parents, to Al -Jazeera Net.
He stressed that the event is a message from them to all the free people of the world to move and raise their voices, and reject those massacres, brutality and siege, adding, “Until our children feel the suffering of the children of Gaza from hunger, deprivation, fear and pain, and to instill in them the love of giving and sacrifice and support the oppressed, whatever the price, so that they have become deducted from their expenses and donating it to the children Sounds.
“Our children felt that they were able to deliver a message, even if they were symbolic, and this scene will not forget it, and it will remain a witness to a time when children are left to die in front of the world’s sight.”
Conscience bells
In turn, Moaz Al -Raoud, the father of the Yaman child, who participated with his two sister Naya and Yara after they borrowed tools from the kitchen of the house, said, “These utensils that were rushed into the neighborhood are a conscience bells who should awaken the world from his shameful silence towards the children of Gaza, who are besieged with hunger instead of embracing mercy.”
“The symbolic effectiveness of children in the Al -Tafayleh neighborhood is a natural extension because of the solidarity initiatives that the neighborhood people used to with Gaza,” he added to Al -Jazeera Net.
And he added, “If the world deaf its ears from the cries of hunger, then these voices in Amman remind them of what is going on there and our duty to raise our children that the children of Gaza are their brothers in religion and blood, and to suffer from their pain, amid a shameful international silence that watches the crime and does not move.”
Despite the simplicity of the tools, the photos and clips of the event have spread significantly on social media, attached to the terms of support for Gaza and calls to save their children from slow death.
Famine continues to harvest lives in Gaza, and hunger is now rampant bodies along with the fire of the Israeli occupation, which imposes a continuous siege and war on the Strip.
