Lazarini beats the alarm about starvation in Gaza and the global kitchen resumes its activity news

The Commissioner -General confirmed to the agency UNRWA The International Philip Lazarini yesterday, Saturday, that two million Palestinians are in Gaza Strip They are subjected to starvation, accusing Israel using food as a weapon to strip them of their humanity, while it was announced World Central Central Organization The resumption of its operations in the sector after a 12 -week interruption.

Lazarini criticized – in a speech during the meeting of the 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul yesterday – the mechanism of aid that was established recently in Gaza with American and Israeli support, considering that it is a hateful act that insults the Palestinians, and has turned into a trap of death.

The UN official added that the aid mechanism represents a peak of 20 months of terror, inaction and impunity.

He stressed that two million people are subjected to starvation in the Gaza Strip, as the Palestinians are stripped of their humanity without any consequences.

Lazarini described what is going on in the occupied Palestinian territories as a long -term project to undermine the Palestinian state, and reflects an Israeli desire to strip the Palestinian refugees of their rights, and cut their connection to their land.

He pointed out that UNRWA has become a goal in this war, and that its employees continue to perform their duties despite the arrests, intimidation and harassment of the Israeli army.

The UN official also warned that the Palestinians in the occupied West Bank were displaced from their camps in the north at levels that the world has not witnessed since 1967.

In addition, the International Central Cupping Organization announced the resumption of its operations in the Gaza Strip after a 12 -week interruption, and described the move as an important achievement, amid the continued Israeli genocide with American support in the Strip.

The organization said, in a post on its account on the X platform, yesterday, Saturday, that the effects of chronic hunger in Gaza do not go away quickly, stressing the need to enable the residents in the Strip to obtain food safely and continuously.

The organization confirmed the arrival of its trucks loaded with aid to its teams in Gaza for the first time in more than 12 weeks, and said, “Today we resumed cooking in selected kitchens, which is a decisive step towards increasing the production of meals to meet the urgent needs of the Palestinian displaced.”

The organization explained that its humanitarian work in Gaza was the result of the Israeli blockade imposed on the Strip and the closure of the crossings. It also indicated that the aid that was able to enter the Gaza Strip allows for the cooking of about 10,000 meals on the first day of the resumption of operations.

Acknowledgment of the failure of the “aid mechanism”

On the other hand, what is known as the “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation”, funded by Israel and the United States, confirmed the need for more aid, and also recognized its inability to meet the need of the residents to aid after severe criticism from other relief organizations and almost fatal shooting near the distribution points.

John Akri’s temporary executive director, John Akri, claimed that his organization “provides aid widely, safely and effectively, but we cannot meet the full needs while large areas of Gaza remain closed.”

He added that the Foundation “is working with the government of Israel to fulfill its obligations and open additional sites in northern Gaza.”

Akri stressed that “Gaza residents strongly need more assistance, and we are ready to cooperate with other humanitarian organizations to expand our arrival to those who need help more than others.”

Yesterday, Saturday, the Palestinian Civil Defense announced the killing of 17 Palestinians by Israeli army fire, including 8 people while they were waiting for aid near distribution centers supervised by the “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation”.

The government media office in the Gaza Strip announced yesterday the death of 450 Palestinians and the injury of 3466 others with the fire of the Israeli occupation army while trying to reach the food distribution centers known as the American -Israeli mechanism since May 27, while 39 are still missing.

Away from the supervision of the United Nations and international relief organizations, Tel Aviv has begun last May 27 to implement a plan to distribute limited aid through what is known as the “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation”, supported by Israeli and American and rejected by the United Nations.
