Milan coach Massimiliano Alegre announced Milan coach in the Italian Football League, on Monday, that the club signed with the veteran Croatian midfielder Luka Modric, Real Madrid captain.
Modric joins Milan in a free transfer from Real Madrid after his contract with the Spanish giant ends.
“He will arrive in August. He is an exceptional player,” Alegre said at the first press conference held at the head of Milan’s technical staff.
Real Madrid will meet Paris Saint -Germain in the Club World Cup final tomorrow, Wednesday, and the final will be held next Sunday.
Modric will join the new coach Alegre as part of a plan to rebuild the team after a disappointing season in which the club occupied the eighth place and failed to qualify for a European competition.
“For the masses, I tell her that the most important thing is to work very daily. The only way to restore respect is to take responsibility and achieve results. We will definitely need your support,” Alegre added.
The Italian coach, who joined Milan for the second time after replacing Sergio Konisao, the article at the end of last May, also identified some of the main changes in the before the new season.

Milan begins his career in the new season in the Italian league on August 23 with a match at home to Karimonise.
Coach Alegre, who led Milan to crown the Italian league title in the 2010-2011 season, has been training Juventus.
Modric, 39, announced in late May that he would leave Real Madrid, ending a career with the Capital Club, which started in 2012 after moving from Tottenham Hotspur.
The 2018 Golden Ball award won nearly 30 titles, including six titles in the Champions League with the club, which is a record number.
