Although any form of smoking is unhealthy, electronic cigarettes did not carry the same risk of cancer or lung diseases such as traditional cigarette smoking, according to the largest study on this topic conducted by Kings College London in 2022.
Other research has found that the so -called “electronic cigarettes” works better than nicotine gum as a medium solution for smokers who want to quit smoking.
But if the new research conducted by the University of California in Davis is correct, electronic cigarettes may be more dangerous than traditional cigarettes due to the release of toxic minerals such as lead, as the species that are used for one time (Disposable) are worse than that re -filling.
Heavy minerals and toxins in e -cigarette fumes
“Our study highlights the hidden danger of these new and popular e -cigarettes that are used for one time, which contains dangerous levels of toxic bullets of the nerves, nickel, and antimony that cause cancer,” Brett Pauline of the University of California at Davis said.
The team pointed out that e -cigarette users are usually adolescents or adults “highly exposed to poisoning with bullets”, warning in a research paper published in the ACS Central Science magazine that “inhaling certain minerals can increase the risk of cancer, respiratory diseases and nerve damage.”
The researchers found that some brands “fired amazing high concentrations of steam elements, including antimony and lead”, and after some time and the use of electronic cigarettes, the levels of antimony, chrome and nickel increased.
According to Mark Salazar of the University of California, Davis, some electronic cigarettes contain toxins “already in the e-liquid), or they leak greatly from their components to electronic fluids and ultimately move to smoke.”
