No country has officially announced its recognition of the Taliban government that took over the reins of power in Afghanistan in 2021 after the withdrawal of the US -led forces from the country.
“We hope that this new stage will allow the two countries to expand cooperation in various fields,” said Amir Khan Mottaki, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban government.
