Tweeters interacted with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s announcement of the implementation of the 12th wave of the “sincere promise” operation using a group of weapons, including for the first time a long -range “Sajil” missile, which is the heavier missile in the Iranian arsenal.
The field use of this missile is a precedent, as it has not been recorded by its appearance in any actual clash.
Multiple sites circulated videos of the shape of the missile during its launch, as it paints behind it in the sky that looks like a snake, a visual feature of this heavy style of missiles.
The “Sjel” is considered a remote-run-off ballistic missile that works with solid fuel, and its range reaches about 2000-2500 km, and weighs about 23 tons at launch.
The missile operates in two phases, which gives it the ability to maneuver inside and outside the atmosphere, and is difficult to object to hostile air defense systems.
It is 18 meters long, and it can carry a warhead weighing 650 kilograms, with the possibility of providing it with nuclear heads if available.
The development of the missile began in the late 1990s, and its first successful test was in 2008, and despite the similarity of its exterior design with some Chinese missiles such as “D-15”, military experts are likely to have a fully Iranian interior design, which reflects the development of the local missile industry from relying on copies, to producing advanced models of its own.
