Gaza- Last June 17, the young Mohammed Al -Zaanin, 20, asked his mother to go to aid distribution pointsGaza StripDespite his knowledge of the danger of the journey, which may end with death.
His mother, Islam Al -Zanain, has strongly rejected, and she begged him not to go, as he is the only “male” in her offspring, and she relies on him and her seven daughters completely to provide her day’s livelihood, and to manage her needs, and she fears bullets and occupation army shells that every day reaps dozens of aid seekers.
But Mohamed insisted on going after hunger hit the family that has become without a source of livelihood, and is unable to provide bread to its children.

Outside the tent, the mother remained waiting for him, a hand on her heart and another to remove her tears, until the contact came and one of them told her, “Your son was martyred, and he is now in Al -Shifa Hospital.”
Muhammad was injured by a deadly bullet in his chest, which came out of his back, among the crowds of civilians who were crowded around the aid point in the northern Gaza Strip.
“My son was looking for a living. I cannot believe … I was breathing from himself, lying to myself and saying that he is still alive, and he will suddenly enter the tent, I can’t believe that he will not return.”
His seven sisters cried him every day, and he was not just the older brother, but rather – despite his young age – a second father of them, who takes care of them and provides their needs.

The government media office in the Gaza Strip says that during the last month, Israel killed 516 Palestinians and hit 3799 others, and 39 citizens are still missing, while trying to reach food distribution centers.
On May 27, Israel began implementing a aid distribution plan through a company called “”Gaza Humanitarian Corporation“Supported by the United States, but it is rejected by the United Nations and international relief institutions.
According to eyewitnesses, the Israeli occupation forces fire shells and bullets at the awaits of aid randomly, daily, which causes the death and injury of many of them.
Since the beginning of last March, Israel has closed the Gaza Strip crossings in front of aid and goods convoys, which has caused the deterioration of the living conditions and the suffering of the population from hunger.
He went and did not return
Rafik Tayeh, 47, is 7 sons, one of those who did not return from the “aid point” in Rafah, where an Israeli snipers fired a bullet that wanted a martyr while he was carrying hope to obtain a flour bag that blocks his family.
Before the war, Rafik was working as a worker in a small bakery in the Beit Lahia project in the northern Gaza Strip, and was striving to secure a decent life for his family.
But the war surprised him, destroying the bakery, stopping work, then targeting his house and was completely destroyed, to find himself and his family in the street, moving between the places of displacement in Gaza without shelter.

With the worsening of the crisis, and his inability to provide the lowest family needs of bread, he made his decision to go to the “American aid point” in RafahPerhaps he gets a little flour.
But he did not know that this step would be the last in his life, a sniper chance that penetrated his skull, and returned his body to his family carried on the shoulders, leaving behind an indescribable pain.
Today, the Rafik family lives a triple tragedy: the loss of the father, the lack of shelter, the absence of an income source. His daughters, Nour and Nagham, studying nursing, and studying engineering.

The end of a dream
On June 15, Muhammad Qarmout, 18, went to the ambitious boy who was aspiring to establish his own business, to the Al -Amoudi area in the northern Gaza Strip to obtain a flour bag.
This was without the knowledge of his parents, who refuse to endanger himself, but his sensitivity to his family, who, like the rest of the families, has pushed him to take this adventure.
Muhammad, on the first day, the second or the third, did not, and his family feared that he would remain missing forever, until she learned that the civil defense crews succeeded in recovering some of the bodies, and the body of “Muhammad”, which his family met from his “distinctive shoes” after they decomposed and ate stray animals from them.
The young man was preparing to provide high school exams, despite the interruption of schools and the absence of books, and he took private lessons at his family’s expense, and received help from his sister in reviewing his lessons.
He has been in the dream of graduation and the opening of his own commercial project.
His greatest dream was to launch an electric contracting company, in which he followed the pace of his father and uncles, and he was preparing for that even before graduation, as he started experimenting with simple projects only to test the market and learn. But his dream ended before he started.
