An Argentine player died in a hospital’s operating room while undergoing surgery on his knee, a news that caused a state of shock and sadness in the country’s football circles.
The San Telmo club – the second -class competitor in Argentina – announced the death of its 18 -year -old Camello Noyen, but he did not address in an official statement issued by the causes of death.
“Camello Noyen died on Wednesday morning while undergoing surgery on his knee, and the causes of death have not yet been determined,” the club said in its statement.

He added, “Deep sadness is guessing for everyone who shares long hours in the dressing room, in training and in every match in which he defended the club’s colors.”
In a statement, San Telmo said that the late player played 82 games with the team during which he presented “everything he has for these colors … on our part, and in the name of the big Saint Telmo family, we extend our sincere condolences and condolences to his loved ones, and we share this great pain.”
In turn, the Argentine Football Association Committee issued a statement in which it expressed its deep sorrow for the death of the young Nwin.
“The Football Committee for Youth and Junior expresses its great sorrow for the death of Camello Ernesto, the youth team of the Atletico San Telmo Club. We express our sincere condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and the club and share these painful moments,” she said.
Claudio Tabia – President of the Argentine Football Association – offered his condolences to the player’s family in a publication through the official account of the Federation on the X platform.

According to local reports, the surgery that the late player underwent was due to cartilage and cruciate ligament in his knee.
Meanwhile, the Argentine “Infobae” website confirmed that the prosecution concerned with negligence crimes began the investigation of the incident, noting that the results of the autopsy will be a pivotal element in the case.
The possibility of a medical error is currently being considered during the operation, as the player has stopped the heart and breathing, and despite attempts to revive the heart and lung, he died, according to the same site.
The Prosecutor ordered the dissection of the player’s body, provided that the results of the first medical report constitute a pivotal element in determining the final cause of death, and whether there is a body responsible for the accident, and after the completion of the autopsy, the body will be handed over to the player’s family for burial.
