a statement Jack Dorsi The founder and innovator “Twitter” about his latest innovations, an immediate communication platform that simulates “WhatsApp” in its function, but does not need an Internet to work or send and receive messages directly, according to a report published by the “Nine To Five Mac” website (9to5mac).
The new innovation comes under the name “BitChat” and depends on the “Bluetooth” networks to connect directly between the different devices and the transfer of messages between them and some of them, as the application does not need to connect to the Internet, phone numbers or even e -mail, according to the website report.
For his part, Dorsi announced the new application through his official account on the platform “XWhere he shared a picture from the application interface with a short description of the application, saying that it works with a mechanism similar to the IRC mechanisms (IRC), which is an antique protocol for textual communication via the Internet that was used in abundance in the 1990s in the chat rooms.
my weekend project to learn about bluetooth mesh networks, relays and store and forward models, message encryption models, and a few other things.
bitchat: bluetooth mesh chat…IRC vibes.

Dorshi also shared a link to experimental entry to the platform as well as a link to the project in the famous “GitHub” platform. The project includes the operating documents for the application and the basic protection that it relies on, as the documents describe the “Beit Chat” platform as “an unprecedented to a counterpart to a counterpart that works on networks with low -energy bluetooth technology (BLE), and provides a quick coded connection without relying on the Internet infrastructure, which makes it able to withstand interruption and control.”
The project represents a new stage in the Jack Dorsi obsession with open communication standards instead of closed platforms, as this obsession started with the launch of the Bluesky platform inside Twitter before it is separated and becomes a stand -alone platform and before Mask takes on Twitter.
Moreover, the project attracted the attention of those interested in technology and decentralized internet, as Alex Carter, an expert in digital currencies, attracted that the serious platform supports sending digital currencies by relying on Bluetooth technology, and he described the platform as a “deadly WhatsApp”.
🚨 Jack Dorsey just made Bitcoin work without the internet 🚨
Yes, this is true,
I cannot believe on my eyes.
His new app Bitchat lets people chat + send BTC over Bluetooth with no WiFi, no data, no SIM.

The application witnessed a wide turnout in the first moments of its participation at the Dorshi account, as it implemented 10,000 invitations to the experimental version of the platform within minutes of sharing the tweet that includes the link.
