The return of literature to the screen .. a new wave of works inspired by novels art

Arab screens are regained in the coming period artistic tradition as long as the richest drama and cinema, by returning to literary novels as a source of inspiration. A number of visual content makers, from directors and producers, began adopting narrative texts to present new works, expected to add a diversity and depth to the artistic scene, and compete strongly in the coming seasons.

“Red Honey” .. Psychological drama in the atmosphere of the crime

The artist Hind Sabri returns to the dramatic scene with a new series titled “Red Honey”, which is inspired by the novel “Blood on Nahd” by Ibrahim Issa. Sabri presents in this work a journalistic figure who pushes her profession to go into a risky adventure, chasing the threads of a series of mysterious crimes, and dive into complex files during the eighties and nineties of the last century, as part of a framework of suspense and psychological excitement.

The series consists of 10 episodes, and will be shown on a digital platform away from the Ramadan season. Aser Yassin is co -starring, along with a group of artists whose names have not been revealed yet. The series is written by Mohamed Hisham Abeah and Wael Hamdi, directed by Maryam Ahmadi, and produced by Sadiq Al -Sabah.

This work is an extension of Hind Sabri’s interest in presenting dramatic and cinematic works inspired by the novel, as she previously participated in the series “Ayza I marose”, which is quoted by Ghada Abdel -Al, and the movie “The Blue Elephant”, taken from Ahmed Murad’s novel.

“Pasha Girls” .. Women face pain

The movie “Girls of the Pasha”, which is taken from a novel of the same name by Nora Naji, tells the story of a group of women working in a beauty salon in Tanta, each of them has a harsh experience and a hidden wound left by life.

The film focuses on the suffering of these women in the face of the pressures of accumulated life, between psychological crises, emotional disappointments, and marital betrayals, as well as the social restrictions imposed by the environment surrounding them. Amid this reality full of challenges, a man known as “pasha” appears, forcing his personality a turning point in their lives, as the journey of searching for salvation and emancipation begins with the circles of pain.

Director Mohamed Jamal Al -Adl has recently finished filming the movie, and it is expected to be released in theaters during the summer season. The film is written by Mohamed Hisham Abbiya, and co -starring Zina, Sabreen, Ahmed Magdy, Nahid Al -Sibai and Sawsan Badr.

Menna Shalaby between “Kondalini” and “Hebta”

Menna Shalaby is taking place in two new cinematic experiences on literary novels, within the wave currently witnessed by Egyptian cinema by returning to fictional texts.

The film is from Mustafa Hamdi, directed by Mohamed Salama, and co -starring Dhafer El Abidine.

The new version deals with love from a different angle, through multiple personalities who live transformations in their emotional relationships, focusing on the deep impact of these relationships in forming feelings and decisions. The writer and novelist Mohamed Sadiq, the world of directing for the first time through the movie “When”, is based on his novel of the same name, to present a cinematic treatment that mixes psychological tension with the journey of self -search.

The film, starring Ahmed Dawood, Ahmed Dash and Salma Abu Dhaif, revolves around “Issa”, which faces a constant feeling of impotence and failure, after years passed without achieving his ambitions. In a milestone, he has an opportunity to push him to review his choices, and to rebuild his relationship with himself and the world.

The preparation for the transformation of the novel “The Deer Hunting Season”, which was released in 2017, is currently being converted into a movie starring Ahmed Ezz and directed by Ahmed Al -Morsi. The novel takes place in a future time, mixes reality and imagination, and modifications were made to suit the visual and dramatic rhythm without prejudice to the identity of the original text.

Murad also announced a while ago the transformation of the novel “Lukanda Bir Al -Wattaout” into a new movie starring Mohamed Ramadan.

“On Dahr Ragel” .. a social comic drama

The artist Ahmed Bahr, famous for the title “Kazrabah”, moves to the absolute championship for the first time through the series “On Dahr Ragel”, a dramatic work inspired by the novel “100 Dreams before Death” by writer Mohamed Jalal.

The series consists of 15 episodes, which revolves in a social comic, comedy, about a young man whose life changes after he feels the end of his life, and the series is a scenario and dialogue by Mustafa Hamdi, and directed by Abdel Rahman Abu Ghazaleh.
