Al -Jazeera sources stated that clan fighters withdrew from the sites they advanced inside the city at dawn today, Friday, and were stationed in their vicinity pending the tribal reinforcements that come successively from different regions in Syria.
The President of the Syrian Tribal and Tribes Council, Sheikh Abdel Moneim Al -Nasif, called on the tribes to the general enlightenment and immediately go to the endosperm to save the people, which he described as the massacre that occurred against the Bedouin of As -Suwayda.
A Syrian security source told Al -Jazeera that appeals arrived at the Ministry of Interior to intervene and contain the situation in the Suwayda Governorate and impose security and stability, and confirmed that the Ministry of Interior began preparing forces to enter the endosperm to impose stability and protect citizens.
Earlier, the tribal forces launched a counter -attack in the Western countryside of As -Suwayda, and tightened their control over towns, including a loan, the role and the farm, after violations and killings by Druze armed groups against the Bedouin tribesmen from the people of the province after the withdrawal of the Syrian defense and security forces from them.
The Syrian News Agency confirmed that “outlawed groups” assaulted the Al -Maqous neighborhood, east of the city of As -Suwayda, which is inhabited by families of the Bedouins, and committed massacres against women and children, noting the killing and injury of a large number of civilians.
She emphasized that houses and neighborhoods in the city and the villages of the Western countryside of As -Suwayda are due to the Bedouins, which were burned by these local factions.
Local sources also told Al -Jazeera that gunmen hold more than a thousand civilians from the Bedouins in the town of Shahba in As -Suwayda after the withdrawal of the government forces, noting that more than 500 Bedouins were displaced after burning their homes in As -Suwayda by armed groups.
Conflict
On the other hand, private sources told Al -Jazeera that Hijri ruled one of the sheikhs of the Druze Akl, who demanded Damascus to send “forces to settle the conflict in As -Suwayda.”
Al -Hijri had called for adherence to the spirit of tolerance, and stressed, in a photo speech, to reject the percentage of sabotage and incitement to any sect or region, and he also denied that his supporters were sectarian, advocates of sedition or division.
At the height of the clashes in As -Suwayda, Al -Hijri called for international intervention to protect the Druze. On the other hand, a number of the sheikhs of the Druze community in Syria stressed their standing alongside the Syrian state and rejected calls for foreign interference.
In Damascus, the Syrian presidency accused the “outlaw forces” of violating understandings built on American Arab mediation, and launching horrific attacks.
Criticism of Israeli interventions
The presidency confirmed in a statement – yesterday, Thursday, that the Syrian leadership withdrew the military forces to its sites and barracks to allow the efforts to calm in the Suwayda governorate, in response to the Arab American mediation that took place on Wednesday evening.
She explained that “the forces outside the law” did not commit to agreeing not to resort to revenge or the use of violence against civilians, and committed horrific crimes that are completely incompatible with mediation obligations and directly threatening civil peace.
The Syrian presidency statement called on the international community to support Syria’s efforts to restore stability and control the escalating weapons, and stressed that the continuation of the blatant Israeli interventions in Syrian internal affairs leads to more chaos and destruction and the complexity of the regional scene.
The Syrian presidency stressed that the protection of Syria, its unity and the security of its people is the responsibility of the state and the Syrian government will continue to take everything necessary to protect its citizens.
The turmoil began a few days ago with mutual reprisals between Druze armed groups and another from Bedouin Arab clans, and later the army and security forces intervened “to break the clashes”, but they entered into a confrontation with the Druze anti -government groups, and they were also subjected to heavy Israeli air strikes.
