Trump told reporters on the presidential plane that he had a “good” phone call to his Ukrainian counterpart Volodimir Zellinski.

Communication with Zelinski
For his part, Zellinski said that he discussed with Trump the issue of air defenses, and agreed to work to increase the capabilities of Kiev in air defense, in light of the escalation of Russian attacks.
A source told Reuters that he had received a statement about the telephone communication between Trump and Zelinski that they were optimistic about the possibility of resuming Patriot supplies after the conversation he described as “very good” between them.
Ukraine demanded Washington to sell them more Patriot missiles and other systems that are essential to defending its cities in the face of intense Russian air strikes.
Washington’s decision to stop some arms shipments to Ukraine caused warnings from Kiev that this step would weaken its ability to address air strikes and progress in the battlefield.
Mutual escalation
On the ground, the Ukrainian General Staff announced that it had carried out a bombing targeting the Borissoglips Airport in the Russian province of Forengi, which includes a base of Russian warplanes of multiple models.
The authority added that the strike also included a warehouse containing air bombs, in addition to a combat training plane.
