It also provides additional support for Syrians wishing to return to their country, starting with educational and psychological support, through helping to secure transport, and reach the maintenance of their homes after returning.
The move comes within the Turkish government’s policy to encourage the voluntary return of the Syrians, in the context of cooperation with the Syrian official authorities and the border crossings that have been witnessing severe crowding since the end of the school year in Türkiye.

Logistical and legal
The head of the Syrian community in the state of Gaziantep, Mustafa Al -Hussein, stressed that they were and still provide various services to Syrians in all fields, especially in the legal aspect, indicating that cooperation with the Turkish authorities and civil society organizations continues without discrimination.
Al -Hussein told Al -Jazeera Net, “After the liberation of Syria, we continued our work as representatives of the Syrian community, and we focused on communicating with the Immigration Center to help the Syrians in the educational, cultural and service sectors, and we held meetings with the Minister of Interior, during which we submitted proposals related to the procedures of permission for the returnees voluntarily, and directing them towards the legal methods.”
He continued that at this stage, they presented a proposal to create a center concerned with providing logistical, legal and material assistance to Syrians who want to return, in a simple and comprehensive way, adding that “the consulting center for the voluntary return of the Greater Gaziantep municipality administration, with the support of the Immigration Administration, the Turkish Red Crescent, stood up to Balbul Zadeh, and the Syrian community.”
Al -Hussein pointed out that the community has a special room inside the center, with a representative from the Syrian community to provide legal consultations and help the Syrians in completing their papers, especially the elderly, orphans, widows, and clarify legal procedures related to return, in addition to helping to reach the crossings.
The head of the community called on the Syrian youth, especially teachers and businessmen, to seriously think about returning to Syria and contributing to its reconstruction, saying that “Syria today needs all its children, and we encourage the return in cooperation with the official Turkish institutions.”
The optimal return

The director of the Migrant Services Center in Gaziantep Municipality, Ramzi Yilmaz, confirms that the opening of the consulting center represents an application model for the Municipality of Gaziantep Municipality with the file of the Immigration Department in the state, which has been 13 years ago to extend a helping hand to the Syrians.
Yilmaz told Al -Jazeera Net that about 20 Syrian families are visiting the center on a daily basis, to obtain services related to voluntary return facilities, and in turn they treat those who have problems or obstacles with the Immigration Department, and secure the transfer of those who want to the border crossings.
He added that the Syrian refugees wishing to return to their homeland can submit an application to help restore their destroyed homes in Syria, according to a specific mechanism that is coordinated with the employees at the center.
The center also provides psychological support for Syrian refugees, and directs them to special centers to provide psychological and social consultations, while it is underway to the services of the Arabic language education for children while returning within the cities of Azaz, Afrin and Jarablus for free.
Yilmaz called on the Syrian refugees to visit the center without hesitation, noting that the workers in it aimed at providing assistance and solving their problems as much as possible and available to them.
