The Prosecutor in Istanbul ordered Monday to arrest two journalists in one of the major satirical magazines in Türkiye Because of the publication of a cartoon, the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him, depicts, according to local media.
The Public Prosecution said that it “opened an investigation into the publication of a caricature on June 26, 2025 from Lehman’s magazine, clearly insults the religious evaluation, and arrest warrants were issued against those involved.”
A copy of the white and black drawing, published on social media, showed a photography that appears to be the Prophet Muhammad with the Prophet Moses, and they knew and shakes together in the sky of a city bombed.
After the news of the satirical drawing spread, dozens of angry demonstrators attacked a bar that Lyman’s employees went to in the center of Istanbul, which led to the outbreak of skirmishes with the police who tried to confront them.
