The nomination of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, US President Donald Trump, to win the Nobel Peace Prize, has sparked a wide wave of ridicule and surprise on communication platforms, amid questions of “Who nominates Who”, and for any peace?
While it seemed to be a symbolic message that is not without political dimensions, Netanyahu Trump delivered his official nomination letter to the Nobel Peace Prize in their last meeting in Washington, which brought back to the forefront the last dreams of the award that his democratic predecessor Barack Obama won only 8 months after assuming the presidency.
The same candidate has always expressed his complaint about the “injustice” he was exposed to for not awarding the award despite his patronage of what is known as Abraham’s agreements, and his contribution to the conclusion of political deals in international tension areas, which included a peace agreement between the Congo and Rwanda and a calm between India and Pakistan, according to his allegations.
However, the tweeters saw Netanyahu’s nomination except an extension of the paradoxes of a world that turns the standards upside down, while the international judiciary accuses him of committing war crimes, here he is providing a candidate for peace, and the other has a busy record of controversial decisions in conflict areas.
Netanyahu was not the only one that nominated Trump for the award. It was nominated by the government of Pakistan, representatives from Congress and Norwegian academics for the prestigious award.
According to the rules of the award, the nomination comes from university professors, scholars, and former winners, and it is not allowed to publish liquidations for 50 years, and no one can nominate himself for the award.

The Nobel Peace Prize winner will receive a Nobel, Medal and Million Dollars Certificate, knowing that the nominations for the Nobel Prize 2025 were closed for this year.
The question remains, will Trump will be nominated for the award in 2026? Will his future achievements be sufficient to win this prestigious award?
