The Colombian captain Gomez, the captain of Cortiba, was exposed to a difficult accident during a second -division match in Brazil, which caused the team’s supporters anxious.

Gomez felt chest pain to intervene the medical staff of the Courtina Club immediately to provide first aid on the field.
Then he replaced the player with his colleague Carloi de Penna, before he was transferred to Pillar Hospital for more medical examinations.
This incident occurred at the 58th minute of the Cortiba and Koyaba match that took place at the Coto Pereira stadium for the 13th round of the Brazilian second division.
Mozart Santos Batista Junior, Cortiba coach, reassured the player after the match, as he confirmed that there was no serious injury, and said at the press conference, “Gomez is fine.”
Hours after that, Cortiba issued an official statement through his official account on the “X” platform in which he confirmed that his leader was discharged from the hospital while he was in good health.
“Cortiba announces that the player Sebastian Gomez left the hospital after undergoing medical evaluation and pictorial examinations,” the statement said.

For its part, the Brazilian network “Globo” expected that the Colombian midfielder will be ready to participate in the Derby of the State of Parana against Atletico Paranensi scheduled for next Saturday, at the Arena Da Pixada stadium for the 14th round of the second division.
It is noteworthy that Gomez participated with his team this season in 21 games in all championships, 12 of them in the second division, during which he scored a single goal and did not provide any decisive pass, according to the famous “Transfer Market” website, which specializes in the numbers of players and clubs.
