The Argentine Atletico fans in the Argentine second division were solidarity with the Palestinian issue and denounced the genocide of the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip for nearly two years.
During the last match of the first Boys against Atletico Atalanta in the 20th round of the League Championship, a group of fans carried a coffin wrapped in the Israeli flag and chanted slogans against the occupying state, and waved Palestinian flags, according to the Argentine “Infobay” website.
Among the banners carried by the fans, one of which was written, “Death to Israel is a state of genocide,” and they also threw leaflets carrying angry expressions against Israel.
At the same time, the fans continued their support for the Palestinians by launching a drone (Dron) carrying the Palestinian flag, which led to the suspension of the match for several minutes.
It seems that these solidarity actions with the Palestinian people angered the Argentine Football Association, which in turn imposed sanctions on the club.
The Disciplinary Committee of the Argentine Federation decided to deprive the first Atletico Boys team of its fans in the matches that are held at its home until further notice.
At the same time, 10 fans were prevented from attending any sporting events in the future without specifying the duration of the punishment.
It is noteworthy that the match ended in a negative tie, and despite that, Atletico Atalanta maintained the top of the competition schedule with 36 points, while Boys ranked 15th with 21 points.
