Watch .. Boeing’s tail coup while emptying luggage in Norway Varieties

The Hogsand Airport in Norway witnessed a rare incident-but it involves important indications of ground safety measures-represented by the overturning of a Boeing 737-800 plane partially, when its front rose from the ground and collided with the surface of the runway during the process of unloading passengers and load.

The accident occurred after a trip belonging to the Hungarian company “Wizer”, when the Earth crew began to unload luggage and passengers, which suddenly imbalanced the plane’s balance. As a result of the conversion of the center of gravity towards the tail, the front of the plane rose up, and touched the tail included in a rare scene of a plane of this size.

Although the accident did not result in any injuries, the plane was subjected to a clear removal in the tail, which necessitated that it was subjected to a comprehensive technical examination to ensure its structural safety. Airport Operations Director, Jan of Solstrand, confirmed that the accident resulted from “excessive kilograms at the back of the plane”, which caused this imbalance.

The accident caused a delay on the next departure trip to the Polish Ghadangsk, which was scheduled at 12:30 pm, where it was delayed for more than 8 hours, before the flight was transferred to an alternative plane. The later affected plane was sent to Siyolia in Lithuania, where it was raised at a height of 9,000 feet towards a specialized maintenance center.

The airport crew was quick to secure the accident site, and it was confirmed that the staircase or any of the ground equipment was not damaged. However, this incident re -highlighted the importance of strict adherence to ground emptying protocols, especially with regard to the management of the center of gravity when dealing with aircraft of narrow body such as the Boeing 737.

The Boeing 737-800 aircraft is usually more flexible in dealing with weight change, compared to the 737-900er model, which is known as its high sensitivity to the position of the center of gravity due to its length of tail. Therefore, it is often advised to use what is known as the “Tail Stand” in long or unbalanced discharge cases.

Aviation experts warn of the importance of emptying the bags from the back cabin first, before the passengers were removed or the front part of the shipment was opened, to avoid the displacement of the center of gravity towards the rear, which may lead to similar incidents.
