Fidan said, in statements to reporters in New York on the sidelines of a meeting on Cyprus, that Ankara received information about possible moves of the “Kurdish units” elements, saying, “They must refrain from exploiting chaos in Syria or entering into unaccounted adventures that make the situation complicated, so opportunism at this stage may bring grave risks.”
The Turkish minister also stressed that any wrong step from those forces at the present time “will threaten the entire regional stability.”
Turkish moves
Ankara’s warning came in the wake of days of the renewed violent clashes in As -Suwayda Governorate Among the Druze factions and Arab clans (from the local Bedouin sons), which resulted in dozens of dead and wounded from both sides.
In light of the tense regional climate, Turkish media revealed that Ankara had made intelligence contacts with Israel to discuss developments in the situation in As -Suwayda and repeated Israeli raids on Syrian soil.
Fidan stressed that his country “rejects any efforts that would destabilize Syria”, and that the new Syrian government “will not be able to address the crisis without taking real measures to ensure regional security.” Stressing that Ankara asked Israel to stop its military operations, which he described as “provocative”, and warning that the continuation of the attacks on Damascus and As -Suwayda will not pass without an international response.
In the same context, Turkish sources reported that the head of the intelligence service, Ibrahim Qalan, made a series of intense contacts with his American, Syrian and Israeli counterparts to follow up on field developments.

In the context, political analyst Mahmoud Alloush believes that the recent Turkish moves reflect Ankara’s concerns about the possibility of the Qasd forces seeking to exploit the current security situation in Syria, in light of the government’s preoccupation with the events of the south and the Israeli escalation against Syrian lands, with the aim of confusing the scene in the north and imposing a new reality that complicates efforts to reach a settlement of the Qasd file, in addition to obstructing the implementation of the integration agreement concluded between Qasd and Damascus Last March.
Alloush pointed out that Turkey is closely monitoring the situation in northern Syria, in light of the increasing concern that the turmoil in the south will destabilize the current stage of stability, which may result in serious repercussions not only at the political level, but also at the security level.
In his interview with Al -Jazeera Net, he added that Ankara will be required to monitor the movements of Qasd in the north with great caution, and to send clear warning messages to its leaders that any opportunistic attempt to exploit the status quo may bear great risks.
The political analyst suggested that Türkiye had to intensify its contacts with the United States to urge it to exert pressure on SDF to prevent any steps that might increase the Syrian scene complicated in this sensitive stage.
Turkish concerns
Türkiye considers any move by Qasd in northeastern Syria a direct threat to its national security, as it sees that these forces, which are the Kurdish People’s Protection Units, are only an extension ofPKK The compiler has a terrorist organization.
For years, Ankara has been repeatedly demanding the dissolution of these militias and integrating its elements into the unified Syrian army, as part of any comprehensive political settlement of the Syrian conflict.
At the same time, Ankara is intensifying its pressure to get the American forces out of the Kurdish -controlled areas east of the Euphrates, stressing in its official speech that any unilateral Kurdish move would threaten its southern borders to face a firm response.
On the other hand, SDF categorically denies the existence of any separatist intentions, stressing that its priority is political cooperation.
Ilham Ahmed, a member of the Foreign Relations Authority in Self -Administration, explained that there is a direct and open communication channel with Turkey concerned with security coordination only, stressing that the main focus at this stage focuses on completing the course of integration with Damascus, and not on disarmament.
On the military level, Turkey is adopting a more clear and dormant stance, as an official source in the Turkish Ministry of Defense announced that the armed forces are proceeding with its operations against terrorist elements in northern Syria, with the aim of securing the Turkish borders and preventing what Ankara calls the “terrorist corridor” on its southern borders.
Israeli plans
The academic and political analyst Mustafa Yatim believes that there are indications of communication and coordination between the Kurdish People’s Protection Units, classified as a terrorist organization in Turkey, and some of the Druze groups supported by Israel in As -Suwayda, foremost of which are the formations that lead it Hikri Hikri And the As -Suwayda Military Council.
An orphan said in an interview with Al -Jazeera Net, that these Druze groups, which have Israeli support, are seeking to create an “self -government” entity similar to the model that the SDF (SDF) seeks in northeastern Syria.
He pointed out that although all the Druze factions in As -Suwayda do not necessarily share this vision, Israel is known for its endeavor to dismantle Syria and create small entities subject to its control, in a way that guarantees them direct influence areas on its borders.
Anim added that taking the Turkish role in northern Syria into consideration, within the strategy of “Turkey free of terrorism”, in addition to the increasing regional and international pressure on Israel and its allies, makes it unlikely that the People’s Protection Units will provide such an adventure.
At the same time, he warned that if the People’s Protection Units exploited the status quo, Turkey will not allow this to pass, and that the central government in Damascus will not accept any scenario that leads to the division of the country, stressing that any Israeli attempt to expand its influence or approach the Turkish border will face strong resistance using all available means.
